Lessons Learned

Ainsley and Gabrielle are 15 months old and we are learning so much from them. It's one of those things I guess that every parent realizes - what can be learned from a child...
So far I've learned...
To be fascinated by a box - you can play in it, sleep in it, use it as a means for transportation, crawl on it, around it, through it. Lesson: never underestimate the simple things - there's more to them then we realize.
The joy of water - it's cleansing, it's relaxing, it's necessary, and it's wet. You must never forget to splash and laugh into life.
To exfoliate - wherever there is sand, use it to scrub away the day from your face.
To get dirty - when faced with life's challenges, get dirty, dig in, work with the dirt, and clean it off - you'll be better for it.
To eat what you want - when you truly love your food, always walk away from the table with a little bit on you - it show's you enjoyed your meal so much you couldn't resist diving right in and enjoying every morsel - even on the go.
To pat the dogs - never forget that no matter how busy you are in a day, pat your dogs, it will cause you to stop for a moment and appreciate unconditional companionship.
To live in the moment - take it in piece by piece because we can all giggle like a little girl over the good stuff.
To enjoy the ride - some days there's nothing like watching the world go by so we can see what is around us instead of zoomin by it without realizing all that life has to offer.
